Buy Cheap Vintage 35mm Camera
Those who have been bitten by the Vintage 35mm camera bug know how expensive this could get. A 35mm camera is already expensive, what more a vintage one.
But if you know where to look, you can get the vintage 35mm camera that you want at a price that you just have to make the most out of.
These better buys only come once in a blue moon. What will you say if there is a vintage 35mm camera for only $50? You just have to say yes.
The glass of the vintage 35mm camera is the 75-105mm lens. These are the parts that can be pretty expensive. It’s hard to imagine that something so small can cost so much. If you can get a higher mm range for a lower price, consider yourself lucky.
The handheld vintage 35mm camera is also different from the ones that come with a tripod. If you’re used to the former, then you’re pretty much hooked to it but if you re thinking of collecting it, you have to know that it can be very expensive.
It can also be very expensive to repair or restore antique vintage 35mm cameras that are handheld.
Don’t fret. There are still some models that won’t make you burn your wallet. These are the non-folding vintage 35mm cameras like the lke, soe voigthlander, and zeiss contessa models. Another not so popular model is the agfa super silette.
This may come in for less than $50. There are also the ones from the 1970s like the Minolta hi-matics, Konica, Yashica, and Olympus.
If it just so happens that you need to fix vintage 35mm camera, you can do this yourself. It wouldn’t cost you anything – just your time. Of course, you need to know the parts that you are getting.
If you are going to replace some parts of your camera, invest in parts that you know would last. If you can get some for exchange, then seize the opportunity. The frequently exchanged parts are the lenses. They sometimes come with the finders too.
If you are okay with a fixed lens, get the pair that have a nice finder. If you can get a manual too, then do so. Sometimes there might be problems when it comes to the mercury batteries of vintage 35mm cameras.
This will make it harder for you to replace or restore just in case. If you do need help on anything, you can seek a professional and ask your questions.
